System Capabilities
WiFi Mesh
Encrypted self-healing network backbone—data hops through nodes to extend reach beyond any single radio's range.
Meshtastic/LoRa
Long-range LoRa-based mesh network for text and GPS when WiFi range isn't enough.
Encrypted Communications
WPA3 WiFi encryption with support for additional encrypted application layers.
Internet Gateway
Share internet connectivity across the entire mesh network when available.
Web Dashboard
Monitoring, configuration, and WiFi analysis through a built-in web interface.
Extensible Platform
Linux-based system that can host additional services as needed. Full IP network.
What You Can Do
Connect ATAK Devices
ATAK is designed to work on IP mesh networks like Nucleus provides. The onboard Meshtastic radio can also provide ATAK connectivity via the official ATAK Meshtastic plugin.
Secure Communications
Voice, video, and text over WiFi mesh with Jami. Text, pictures, and voice messages via Reticulum transport. Text and GPS over LoRa using the Meshtastic radio and official app.
Run Reticulum Apps
Reticulum transport runs across the WiFi mesh by default, but is easily expandable to use the internet when available or other connected communication hardware.
Extend the Platform
The mesh is a full IP network—host additional services, stream video, or integrate with existing infrastructure.
