Nucleus
At its core, the Nucleus solves the speed problem — LoRa mesh networks are great for range but too slow for video, file transfers, and real-time data. The Nucleus is a 2.4 GHz IP mesh radio that brings high-speed connectivity to the mesh without any external infrastructure.
It also includes a Meshtastic radio for longer range, low bandwidth connections. The onboard computer has useful software installed by default, including Reticulum and OpenDHT to enable decentralized video, voice, and text communication.
Off-the-shelf components and 3D-printed enclosures keep costs low. Linux-based. Modify or add services with basic Linux knowledge.
Multiple radios in one package. WiFi mesh: ~30 Mbps close range, 1–5 Mbps out to 1–3 miles with elevation and LoS. LoRa: ~2.5 kbps, tested to 8+ miles with LoS.

Capabilities
ATAK Compatible
Works natively over WiFi mesh. The onboard Meshtastic radio can be used with the ATAK Meshtastic plugin to fuse LoRa connectivity into ATAK's communication network.
WPA3 + Encrypted Protocols
Secure WiFi connections with support for encrypted application layers.
Auto-Routing Mesh
Mesh topology adjusts automatically when nodes join or drop from the network.
COTS Components
All parts are off-the-shelf and user-replaceable. 3D-printed enclosures.
Reticulum Transport
Onboard transport for Reticulum applications like Sideband and MeshChat.
